TOUR GARDEN 3 |
|
|
The front yard is traditional with flowering trees and shrubs. I put in some peonies and black-eyed Susan's to add some color. We added two maples last fall that will some day give us some shade. The back yard is a combination of shrubs along the patio and perennial beds along the back and side yards. I've added shrub roses as filler if something doesn't come back. Landscaping or use of special effects: The gardens are a work in progress. They are
relatively young (5 years or less) and things have grown differently
here than in my other house. Having to deal with the deer and the clay
has been a challenge.
We enjoy seeing the hummingbirds, butterflies, and birds enjoy the garden as well. Interesting and unusual aspects of my garden: I have a variety of peonies, day lilies, bee balm,
coneflowers, black-eyed Susan's, hydrangea, gooseneck loosestrife and
poppies.
